We value parents, grandparents and community members who are prepared to volunteer as classroom helpers, on committees or as coaches in the After School Sport Programme.
The DECD volunteering policy has recently changed. Parents or guardians who volunteer in connection with an activity that involves their own child do not require a relevant history screening through the Department of Communities and Social Inclusion [DCSI]. However, East Adelaide School Governing Council has strongly recommended the continuation of the DCSI screening continues for all volunteers. Only the DCSI screening is acceptable and application forms can be obtained from the school office. Completed forms must be returned to the school for lodging.
Volunteers are also required to attend a RAN (Reporting, Abuse and Neglect) and volunteers training. Session times for 2017 are as follows, please contact the relevant school to book into a session:
Trinity Gardens Primary School
